DIVER TRAINING

We offer PADI Courses and Events from "Bubble Makers" (try-dives for 8 year olds) through Junior Open Water Diver (age 10 and up), Open Water Diver (from 14 up) all the way to Divemaster. We also assist those preparing for their Instructor Training. Our Home Study and Classroom system followed by Pool Sessions will get you into the exciting underwater world quickly and easily! You do not have to be Channel Swimmer to SCUBA dive!

For example, for the Open Water Courses, computer home learning is now available. Minimizing the time spent in the Classroom. Training takes place in Uffcott, nearWroughton. Classroom training is undertaken at a mutually on agreed evenings, followed by Pool sessions on Wednesday evenings (in conjunction with the Seahorse Dive Club in Wroughton Pool at 8pm, so there's a social aspect too. The OWD Course consists of Five Study Modules + Five Pool Training Sessions, PLUS the White Horse Bonus - a Sixth pool session to polish those skills - at no extra cost ! When you go into Open Water with WHD you really are ready... we Certify either at an Inland Site or at the Coast depending on weather and timescales...

Training is fun, pool skills prepare you for the open water diving later..

Every skill has true value - no macho nonsense - no unnecessary stress or strain !

You may be offered the Courses elsewhere at a lower price. We know we are not the cheapest, but we must balance quality against quantity.

Your comfort and safety, in SMALL groups, in a course paced for you, are our priorities... together with conforming with the UK HSE requirements for divers under instructionwhen we go to Open Water Certification.

Advanced OWD Diving all the way... very little (but important) theory in this course - aimed at giving you a taste of things to come... Two Required Dives (Deep and Navigation) plus 3 you select from the list below. (Rental equipment adds £40)(Age 15)

Rescue Diver Learn to look after yourself and then to look after others... this is a great course... a lot of fun as well as hard work... a good level of diving skill for general club diving. Rescue Divers are highly valued members of Dive Clubs...(Rental equipment adds £50, but really you should have your own gear by this level of training.)

Divemaster Learn to Manage a diving day, prepare the dive plans, control a boat full of divers (a bit like running a Play School on water!). This is a Professional level of achievement. (Should have your own equipment by this time as you will have over 50 dives in your logbook)

Diving can be arranged at weekends or midweek. and you can join the Seahorse Club after basic training - join an active club, learn from others' experiences.
Train up to Rescue Diver and take 5 Specialty courses and we will put you forward for the
"Master SCUBA Diver" which is the highest non-professional qualification.

What happens AFTER TRAINING? Join a Diving Club near you. Take it slowly as you start your diving adventures - don't run before you can walk!
